Pull the old head straight off the handle, then push your booheads head firmly on until it sits flush. No tools, no adjustments — it's a straight swap.

Every 3 months, or sooner if the bristles look worn or splayed — the same guidance dentists give for any brush head. Worn bristles clean noticeably less well.

Soniboo heads pair a bamboo body with a cornstarch PLA core; Sonibio and Oraboo heads use wheat straw blended with biodegradable PLA. All bristles are a nylon and castor-oil plant-based blend — our charcoal editions add activated charcoal in the bristles for stain removal. Full details on our Materials & Ingredients page.

Snip off the bristles (general waste), then the bamboo or wheat straw body can go to industrial composting where your local facilities accept it — check local guidance.

Hydroxyapatite is the mineral your enamel is already made of — roughly 97% of it. Used in toothpaste, it bonds to the tooth surface and helps remineralise weak spots, smooth microscopic rough patches and reduce sensitivity. It's the most studied fluoride-free active in oral care, used in enamel-repair toothpastes since the 1970s.

Yes — hydroxyapatite has been shown in studies to support enamel remineralisation comparably to fluoride for everyday care. If your dentist has prescribed high-fluoride toothpaste for a specific condition, follow their advice.

Smooth spearmint — natural spearmint oil with menthol and menthyl lactate. Clean and cool without being harsh, and gentle enough for younger brushers (age 6+).

Yes. Hydroxyapatite helps reduce sensitivity by repairing the microscopic enamel defects that cause it, and the formula avoids SLS and harsh abrasives that can aggravate sensitive mouths.

Yes — vegan and cruelty-free, with no animal-derived ingredients and no animal testing. It's also free from fluoride, SLS, parabens, triclosan, PEGs, microplastics, artificial colours, artificial flavours and gluten.

Brush a pea-sized amount for two minutes, twice a day. Spit but don't rinse straight away — leaving a thin layer helps the hydroxyapatite keep working — and avoid eating or drinking for 30 minutes after.
