About the Pro 1 & Pro 600

The Pro 1, sold in the UK as the Pro 600 and its 650, 680 and 750 variants, is one of the longest-serving handles Oral-B has made. Plenty are five years old or more and still working, which makes the head the only part worth spending anything on.

Questions about Pro 1 & Pro 600 compatibility

Will these fit my Pro 1 & Pro 600?

Yes — the Pro 1 & Pro 600 uses Oral-B's standard round fitting, which our heads are made for. Check the model name or D-code on the base of your handle against the list above. The one exception across the Oral-B range is the iO series, which takes only iO heads.

Will these fit my Oral-B iO?

No, and we would rather say so before you order. The iO range uses a magnetic drive that only iO heads connect to, so no standard round head fits it — ours included. If your handle is a Pro, Vitality, Smart or Genius, you are in the right place.

What are booheads Oral-B compatible heads made of?

A wheat straw body blended with plant-based PLA, and castor-oil plant bristles. No virgin plastic handle, and nothing exotic — just the two materials.

Will my pressure sensor still work?

Yes. The sensor lives in the handle and reads how hard the motor is working, not what head is fitted, so it behaves exactly as it does now. The same goes for the timer, the modes and the app if your handle has one.

How often should I replace my head?

Every three months, or sooner if the bristles start to splay. Worn bristles clean less well and are harder on your gums.

How many heads come in a pack?

Four, which is about a year of brushing if you change every three months.
